Token-gate your Telegram community

Lock any group or channel behind what members actually hold — a token balance, a portfolio value, or a payment. Wallets are verified without having to be connected, and anyone who stops qualifying is removed automatically.

Gate types

Three ways to decide who gets in

Gates act as alternatives. Mix token, net worth, and payment gates on the same chat, and a member only needs to satisfy one of them to get in and stay in.

  • Token gate

    Up to 7 per chat

Require a minimum balance of a specific token.

Works with custom project tokens and native coins alike. Balances are summed across every wallet a member has verified, so someone spreading holdings over three wallets is still credited for the full amount.

    For example

    • Hold 100,000 $PONKE
    • Hold 100 $SOL
    • Hold 500,000 $BRETT
  • Net worth gate

    1 per chat

Require a minimum total portfolio value in USD.

Instead of one balance, this measures the combined USD value of a member's verified wallets across every supported chain, counting native coins, major stablecoins, and other reviewed liquid tokens. Thinly traded tokens are left out, so the number can't be inflated. Useful when you care about who is serious rather than who holds one particular asset.

    See which tokens count

    For example

    • Minimum $10,000 portfolio
    • Minimum $50,000 portfolio
    • Minimum $1,000 portfolio
  • Payment gate

    Up to 3 per chat

Charge a USD price for access.

Set one monthly, one yearly, and one lifetime price in USD. Members pay in the native coin of any chain you accept, converted at the current rate, and each payment is forwarded automatically to your own wallet minus a 5% service fee. When a subscription lapses the member is removed and sent a link back to renew.

    For example

    • $25 per month
    • $200 per year
    • $500 for lifetime access

How it works

Set it up once, then leave it alone

Four steps from an open chat to one that enforces its own membership.

  1. 01

Add the bot as an admin

Invite the bot to your group or channel and give it admin rights so it can manage who comes and goes.

Add it before members join. Telegram never gives bots the historical member list, so anyone already in the chat has to be synced or re-join before the purge can see them.

  2. 02

    Set your requirements

Run setup and define what qualifies someone for entry: a token balance, a minimum portfolio value, or a payment. Mix several and members only need to meet one.

  3. 03

    Members verify a wallet

In a private chat with the bot, a member proves they own a wallet. The usual way is a small self-transfer from the wallet back to itself. Members who can't do that can send a small amount and get it back, or connect and sign a free message.

No wallet connection required. With a self-transfer the funds move from the member to themselves, so nothing ever leaves their control.

  4. 04

    The bot enforces it daily

A daily purge re-checks every member against your gates and removes anyone who no longer qualifies. Whitelisted members are never removed, and you can trigger a purge on demand.

Built for holders

The details that decide whether gating actually works

Verification your members can trust, and accounting that reflects how people really hold tokens.

  • Three ways to verify a wallet

The recommended way is a self-transfer: members send a small amount from their wallet back to itself, with no website involved. If a wallet can't do that, they can send a small amount to an address the bot creates and get it back, or connect on app.tgtokengates.com and sign a free message. None of them ever asks for a seed phrase or a token approval.

  • Balances summed across wallets

A member can verify as many wallets as they like. Token balances and portfolio value are aggregated across all of them, so holdings split between a hot wallet and cold storage still count in full.

  • Multichain tokens counted as one

Register a bridged token on Multichain Metrics and the bot treats its addresses as a single logical token. A member holding half the threshold on Solana and half on Base still passes.

  • Daily purge, plus on demand

Every day the bot re-checks each member against your active gates and removes those who no longer qualify. You can also force a purge yourself, and turn automatic purges off entirely.

Use cases

Who runs gated chats

Three gate types, covering communities that look nothing alike.

  • Whale groups

Keep a room reserved for the largest holders, without vetting screenshots by hand or taking anyone's word for their position size.

    Minimum $50,000 portfolio, or hold 100 $SOL

  • Holder communities

Give your token a home where every member demonstrably holds it. Sentiment stays honest because people who sold are removed automatically.

Hold 100,000 $PONKE across any registered chain

  • Paid groups

Turn your community into income. Set a monthly, yearly, or lifetime price in USD and members pay in crypto to join. Each payment is forwarded straight to your wallet, and members whose access runs out are removed.

$49 a month or $399 lifetime, and you keep 95%

Pricing

FAQ

Common questions

The things people ask before adding the bot.

Do members have to connect a wallet?

No. There are three ways to verify a wallet, and only one of them involves connecting it. The recommended way is a self-transfer: the bot gives the member an exact amount to send from their wallet back to that same wallet, and once it appears on-chain the wallet is verified. The funds never leave the member's control, so there is nothing to refund. If a wallet can't send to itself, the member can send a small amount to an address the bot creates instead: the sending wallet is verified and everything is sent back to it, minus the network fee. Members who would rather not send anything, for example from cold storage, can connect their wallet on app.tgtokengates.com and sign a free message.

Read the verification guide

Is it safe to connect my wallet?

Yes. Connect wallet only asks you to sign a free message that proves you own the address. It sends no transaction, needs no token approval, and never asks for your seed phrase, so it gives no one access to your funds. Scammers do copy bots and websites, so always start from the official bot, @tg_token_gates_bot, use the button it sends you, and check that the page is on app.tgtokengates.com. The message your wallet asks you to sign names that same domain. If a connect page asks you to approve a transaction or a token spend, or anything asks for your seed phrase, stop: that isn't us.

What happens when someone sells or drops below the threshold?

A daily purge re-checks every member against your active gates and removes anyone who no longer satisfies at least one of them. Whitelisted members are exempt. You can also run a purge manually at any time, or switch automatic purges off.

Which blockchains are supported?

Solana, Ethereum, Base, BSC (Binance Smart Chain), Robinhood, and TON. In the wallets panel the four EVM chains — Ethereum, Base, BSC, and Robinhood — are grouped together as 'EVM', while Solana and TON are listed separately.

Can I combine different kinds of gates on one chat?

Yes, and they act as alternatives rather than requirements. A chat can have up to seven token gates, one net worth gate, and up to three payment gates (one monthly, one yearly, one lifetime). A member only needs to meet one of them to get in and stay in.

Should I add the bot before or after members join?

Before, ideally. Telegram does not give bots access to a chat's historical member list, so the bot can only reliably track members who join after it is present. If you add it to an existing chat, those earlier members need to be synced or re-join before the purge will include them.

How much does TG Token Gates cost?

A one-time fee of $200 per chat unlocks every current and future feature for that chat. There is no subscription. You can pay on Solana, Ethereum, Base, BSC, Robinhood, or TON, and the bot locks the exact amount in that chain's native coin when you pick one.
